Four-D Software, Inc. began as a 1988 Alabama corporation, contracted to the federal government, to develop a re-hosted launch and landing database for NASA. After a 3-year successful project, Four-D Software, Inc. continued government contract activity with innovative solutions for the State of Alabama prisoner’s work release utilizing GPS tracking; residential Security and Surveillance System; and newspaper clipping reader business automation.
The mid-90’s saw Four-D Software Inc. apply its creative solutions to Medical infrastructure at a major South East U.S. hospital. Four-D Software was a leader in developing and implementing decentralized architecture from traditional IBM Mainframes, to hospital departmental patient information systems. Diagnostic Neurology; Sybase to Oracle database migration; and regional document distribution system are included in the Four-D Software vitae. It was during this period that Four-D Software applied its expertise to an accounting problem for Anesthesia Nursing; a project it named Medatrax™.
In 1998, Four-D Software, Inc. dissolved the Alabama Corporation, relocated to Tennessee, and incorporated Four-D Software, Inc. as a Tennessee ‘C’ corporation with a committed focus on the Medical education sector. Ultimately Medatrax™ is the Four-D Software technology product which became a widely recognized brand in Nursing informatics sector. Medatrax™ currently serves college and university clients in 41 states, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Medatrax, Inc. incorporated as a Tennessee ‘C’ corporation on 1/1/2012 to officially recognize, brand, promote, and protect its product name.

It was during this period that Four-D Software applied its expertise to an accounting problem for the Anesthesia Nursing log.
During this period 1998, Four-D Software dissolved the Alabama Corporation, relocated to Tennessee, and incorporated Four-D Software as a Tennessee ‘C’ corporation, with specific refocus on the Medical education sector. Medatrax was one of Four-D Software’s technology products which became a widely recognized name by our growing Nursing informatics sector which includes client in 41 states, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Medatrax, Inc. was officially incorporated a separate Tennessee ‘C’ corporation on 1/1/2012 to officially recognize and brand our trademarked name. Four- D Software, Inc. continues in operation as primarily a software development company with the mission to continue to create innovative software for Medatrax.
