Four-D Software, Inc. began as a 1988 Alabama corporation, contracted to the federal government, to develop a re-hosted launch and landing database for NASA. After a 3-year successful project, Four-D Software, Inc. continued government contract activity with innovative solutions for the State of Alabama prisoner’s work release utilizing GPS tracking; residential Security and Surveillance System; and newspaper clipping reader business automation.
The mid-90’s saw Four-D Software Inc. apply its creative solutions to Medical infrastructure at a major South East U.S. hospital. Four-D Software was a leader in developing and implementing decentralized architecture from traditional IBM Mainframes, to hospital departmental patient information systems. Diagnostic Neurology; Sybase to Oracle database migration; and regional document distribution system are included in the Four-D Software vitae. It was during this period that Four-D Software applied its expertise to an accounting problem for Anesthesia Nursing; a project it named Medatrax™.
In 1998, Four-D Software, Inc. dissolved the Alabama Corporation, relocated to Tennessee, and incorporated Four-D Software, Inc. as a Tennessee ‘C’ corporation with a committed focus on the Medical education sector. Ultimately Medatrax™ is the Four-D Software technology product which became a widely recognized brand in Nursing informatics sector. Medatrax™ currently serves college and university clients in 41 states, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Medatrax, Inc. incorporated as a Tennessee ‘C’ corporation on 1/1/2012 to officially recognize, brand, promote, and protect its product name.

Certification Case Record Management for Nursing Anesthesiology is a web-based registered nursing anesthesiology certification (CRNA) case record management program. Medatrax automates and supports the national certification requirements of any CRNA teaching institution with departmental tracking and student case record criteria management. Welcome to Four-D Software, Incorporated, a software development company and the creator of Medatrax. Whether you are visiting for the first time as a prospective client, or redirected from another source such as SAMS, or just happened upon us accidentally, I want to introduce myself and Four-D Software. If you are a nursing administrator, I hope this information will convey the ideas that embody our business, our focus, our commitment, and something about me.
Arriving at the place where I had the opportunity to create the corporate entity Four-D Software, took me through seventeen years of increasing project responsibilities and software development with first Industrial Nucleonics Corporation, and then Honeywell, Inc. I stepped away from the corporate world, into a one person one project company as subcontractor to develop a desktop application version of NASAs mainframe Launch-Land-Requirements database. That was 1988. I admit my preparation was a bit different, including being the son of aged 1st generation Italian parents, a Navy Vietnam Veteran with 1 combat tour, and a BS degree from State University of NY College at Buffalo. Armed with my parents work ethic, and intense motivation, I have had the extreme good fortune to be mentored by world class professionals, whom to this day, I owe all success. To the best of my ability I believe Four-D Software reflects their high standards for excellence, their ideals and values. My collective experience and their wisdom are instilled into Four-D Software, and ultimately into Medatrax™, the Four-D Software technology product which is now a widely recognized brand in the Nursing informatics sector.
